Fibre coverage is a broad term that can include part-fibre FTTC broadband, where fibre reaches a street cabinet and copper completes the connection to the property. Full fibre coverage refers specifically to FTTP, where fibre-optic cable runs all the way to the home or business. An area may therefore have fibre broadband coverage without every address having full fibre available.
Full fibre, also called Fibre to the Premises or FTTP, runs fibre-optic cable directly to the property instead of stopping at a street cabinet. It removes the copper final leg used by FTTC and can support faster, more consistent download and upload speeds, although package speeds and symmetry vary by provider.

A postcode can contain properties served by different poles, ducts, distribution points or building-entry routes.
