What can you do after a poor speed test?

If your broadband is consistently slow, unreliable or expensive, you have a few routes: troubleshoot the connection, check whether you are out of contract, compare faster services at your address, or ask whether compensation applies if something has gone wrong.

Start by running a speed test at different times of day. If the problem is repeatable, keep the results before contacting your provider or switching.
