Current automatic compensation amounts from 1 April 2026 are £10.34 per day for delayed repair after loss of service, £32.31 for a missed appointment, and £6.46 per day for delayed activation.

Use the number of calendar days the service remained unfixed after the qualifying period.

Current automatic compensation amounts

  • Delayed repair after loss of service: £10.34 for each calendar day the service is not repaired after the qualifying period.
  • Missed engineer appointment: £32.31 per missed appointment or appointment cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.
  • Delayed start of a new service: £6.46 for each calendar day of delay, including the missed start date.

For loss of service, you normally need to report the fault first. Automatic compensation starts if the service is not fully fixed after two full working days.
