When compensation may apply

For a delayed repair after a loss of service, the current automatic compensation amount is £10.34 for each calendar day the service is not repaired after the qualifying period.

You usually need to report the fault first. Keep the fault reference number and note when the outage started and ended.

What to do during an outage

  1. Check whether the issue affects all devices or only Wi-Fi.
  2. Restart your router once and check the provider status page.
  3. Report the fault to your provider and keep the reference number.
  4. Record when the service stopped and when it was restored.
  5. Check your next bill for an automatic credit.
