The simple version
With One Touch Switch, you contact the provider you want to move to. Your new provider arranges the switch. Once your new service is confirmed working, the new provider notifies the old provider to cease the old service.
When you should double-check
- TV bundles: broadband switching may not cancel every TV add-on or streaming extra.
- Provider email: some providers close, restrict or charge for email after you leave.
- Equipment returns: routers, TV boxes or mesh discs may need to be returned.
- Moving home: this is not always the same as switching provider at the same address.
- Business broadband: business terms may differ from residential switching rules.
