Wi-Fi problems can make good broadband look bad

Poor router placement, distance and interference can reduce speed even when the line is fine.

Many slow broadband complaints are really Wi-Fi problems. Thick walls, distance from the router, interference and old devices can all reduce performance.

Test next to your router, then test again in the room where you normally have problems. If the result is much worse away from the router, improving Wi-Fi coverage may help more than changing provider.
